I didn’t expect a huge jump in sales to occur during August, since this is the time when most people are on summer holidays, especially in Germany which is my focus market. In the end, I’m quite happy with the results.

Once again, time to take a look at this month’s results from my print on demand business.

Merch by Amazon

Overview of my sales on Merch by Amazon in August 2020

I’m very happy with last month’s results. Sales have actually exceeded my expectations, as I would have expected a sharper drop due to summer holidays.

In August I reached a total of 172 sales on Merch by Amazon. This corresponds to an increase of +26 % compared to the previous month, which reached 136 sales.

Those sales together generated roughly 496,51 € in royalties. This corresponds to an increase of +9 % compared to the previous month, which reached 456,93 € in royalties.

I’m currently Tier 1000 with 1000 slots filled, divided into 880 products on the German marketplace, 61 on the US marketplace, and 59 on the UK marketplace.

I’m happy to see my return rate get lower steadily, as more and more sales are coming in. Let’s see what value it needs to reach before I can get my next tier up. I have some estimations, but since there is no official statement from Amazon, I’ll just have to wait and see. Fair enough.

Spreadshirt.de is making me happy. The sales keep coming in and my daily average keeps increasing, even though I didn’t add many designs lately. Last month I also had my two fairly big orders, as you can see in the chart. One with 9 products and one with a whopping 28 products in one order!

In August I reached a total of 110 sales on Spreadshirt.de. This corresponds to an increase of +51 % compared to the previous month, which reached 73 sales.

Those sales together generated roughly 280,81 € in royalties. This corresponds to an increase of +37 % compared to the previous month, which reached 204,54 € in royalties.

I currently have 2279 designs published on Spreadshirt.de.

As always, for the sake of providing complete date. Although, this month is not too bad actually.

In August I reached a total of 7 sales on Spreadshirt.com. This corresponds to an increase of +75 % compared to the previous month, which reached 4 sales.

Those sales together generated roughly $ 25.15 in royalties. This corresponds to an increase of +27 % compared to the previous month, which reached $ 19.73 in royalties.

I currently have 360 designs published on Spreadshirt.com.

Redbubble

I actually had 2 sales on Redbubble, but the chart only shows it once the earnings have been credited.

In August I reached a total of 2 sales on Redbubble. This corresponds to an increase of +100 % compared to the previous month, which reached 1 sale.

Those sales together generated roughly 1,98 € in royalties. This corresponds to a decrease of -21 % compared to the previous month, which reached 2,51 € in royalties.

I currently have 807 designs published on Redbubble.

Total Sales and Royalties

Adding the figures from all above platforms together amounts to a total of 291 sales. This corresponds to an increase of +36 % compared to the previous month, which reached 214 sales.

All sales together generated roughly 800,44 € in royalties that I earned. This corresponds to an increase of +18 % compared to the previous month, which reached 680,71 € in royalties.

I’m very happy with the results recently, especially since I wasn’t able to put in a lot of effort into the business, due to many other things that are going on. It’s always great to be remembered that sales can keep coming in, even when my current focus and effort are somewhere else. This is what I love about print on demand!
